Our family group this term enjoyed 5 weeks of making healthy meals, finishing with Quorn Mince Curry. Everyone worked really well together and hopefully will make the recipes again at home. Mr Field was very lucky one wet and windy afternoon after football as Charlie made him some hot soup, and Miss Pollard also enjoyed sampling some of the meals.
This week parents were welcomed to the Reception classrooms to explore story resources with their children. Parents interacted with a range of activities and ideas to develop story language and imaginative language through play, games and interactive resources. Parents were provided ideas with how to replicate this play based, language rich learning at home.
Family and friends from Windsor Castle Reception Class celebrated the children's learning for Term 3. The children shared a range of wonderful work which covered our three different core texts this term, Rosie's Walk, Magic Train Ride and our book chosen by the class 'Supertato.' The children had also been busy cooking, using potatoes in different ways. Family and friends enjoyed tasting their potato, pea salad and potato / pea /vegetable soup.
Our Reception children had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year on Friday. It all began with an aeroplane trip to China, but before we could enjoy our flight we had to get our passports checked in Passport Control. It was all very exciting! When we arrived in China we were able to explore lots of different activities; some of us made our own Chinese fans whilst others made their own dragon puppets.
