At the end of Term 4, ten pupils from Year 2 attended a "Football Festival" at Eastbourne Sports Park hosted by Ratton School Year 9 sports leaders. We participated in a number of skill stations before competing in a tournament (competitive and development), against other local schools. The boys and girls really enjoyed themselves in the sunshine and in the competitive tournament our team came out winners! The future looks bright for Langney football.
Our Year 3 family group had great fun last term, making healthy meals to take home. Our last session was to make leek and tomato eggy bread bake. The favourite meal was the Quorn mince curry. We also made a lovely vegetable lasagne which involved a lot of grating of vegetables (and fingers) - plasters were given out during this session! Well done to our cooking families!
At the end of Term 4, Year 5 had a spectacular trip to the Science Museum in London! Despite challenging traffic, the day was exciting and awe inspiring! The children were captivated by the Space Exploration Gallery and uncovered the secrets of space travel over time. To add to that, the 3-D film, 'A Beautiful Planet', made us feel as though we were actually travelling in Space with some amazing astronauts! Well done to our wonderful Year 6 pupils for voluntarily heading into School today and tomorrow for extra study sessions. The atmosphere was very focused and motivational. A big thank you to the Year 6 team and extra teachers for offering their time and support so willingly as well!
Year 3 finished off Term 4 in style by embarking upon a huge Art project. Children and their families created the four seasons with collages, paints, pencils and much, much more! The atmosphere for this fabulous finish was electric and ever so creative in our sports hall. The masterpieces will be displayed soon!
