We all celebrated a whole school Spanish day in some very hot Spanish weather. Children learnt salsa dancing, about Spanish customs and culture and this all came together on the field for a parade at the end of the day. Muchas Gracias to everyone that got involved and to Mrs Newing!
As many of you will know, France won the World Cup at the weekend, which meant that Wonkaland won our class competition as they had picked France from the World Cup tombola! Their prize? The chance to play against the teachers! Kick off was at 10am with the whole school coming out to watch. The game was split into four quarters with different children playing in each quarter, so everyone had a chance to play. It was very close, with both teams having lots of chances (the litt
On Thursday, ten children from Reception attended Polegate School to take part in a EYFS Multi Sports Festival, led by their Sports Coach Mark Potter and supported by their young sports leaders. It was a great opportunity for our children to take part in a fun, age appropriate inter-school PE event. They were engaged in a variety of team games to develop a range of physical skills as well as fundamental movement skills. The children really enjoyed the experience as well as th
Two amazing performances form our Flashmob modern dance superstars this morning. Langney Primary took over the town centre and members of the public stopped their shopping and working to watch, admire and cheer on! Well done to all dancers, Miss Post, Mrs Rodemark and the staff and the parents! Another brilliant event to round off the week! Please help us create the official Flashmob 2018 video by sending any footage to firstname.lastname@example.org
This week we welcomed Councillor Tutt into Langney for a tour of our School and a question and answer session. Some of our student leaders from years 2 to year 6 asked questions about democracy, gender equality and local facilities for children to use. We were invited upto Town Hall next year and the Science Green team will receive an air quality machine to fix to our building!

The Final was played at a neutral venue, (University of Brighton Astro Pitch) on Monday afternoon. Langney started the game very positively but nonetheless found themselves 2-0 down within the first 5 minutes against a very well organised team. Ocklynge are the current Eastbourne Cha
On Monday, four of our Year 2 children took part in an engineering challenge at the Town Hall, Eastbourne. Their task was to design and build a model of a lift that could carry cargo down a mountain or across a bridge. They had to be precise because the cargo their model had to carry was an egg!! They all did brilliantly well and really enjoyed the experience.
Nelson Victor Carter Handball Tournament Finals. We witnessed two fantastic games of handball on Friday. The games were slightly longer in length than the qualifying games and all the players were superb! The first game, officially started by Spyke Baker, Nelson's grandson, involved our younger players and it was fast and furious with lots of great throwing and catching and some amazing teamwork. An enthusiastic crowd cheered on both teams and the time flew by as Priory secur
