We took over Cineworld on Friday morning! The Year 3 Spiderwick film productions had their premiere showing in front of a packed audience. The children have created their own character and then wrote, drew, acted out and then filmed their descriptions. Truly amazing and thank you to all the staff too.
The School Council were joined on Thursday by Councillor David Tutt. There were many questions asked about leading the council, how elections were democratically organised and the best parts of the role. We agreed to jointly do a local Park Clean on 10th May and dicussed how our new Air Quality monitor will work. Councillor Tutt invited Mr Poston and the School Council to Town Hall to hold a meeting in Term 6!!
A stunning start in Year 2 today as we are having our very own "Australia Day"! Children are learning about the different states and territories of Australia, as well as animals and habitats. Some fantastic Aussie costumes too!

Last year the nursery achieved an Outstanding Award from the Children's
On Monday 1st April, Year 5 completed their Science experiences for term 4 with a trip to Herstmonceux Science Centre. This linked in with the Planetarium visit they had earlier in the term. The children had a lovely day in the sun, using lots of the hands-on Science experiments and even getting to practise with a robot arm as if they were trying to fix something on the International Space Station.
The Mayoress of Eastbourne, Gill Mattock, visited Funky Friday assembly to learn about how we are eradicating Single Use Plastic at Langney. Our "Science Green Team" student leaders explained our recent work with switched off days and recycling as a School. Emma Hall from Go Plastic Pallets presents three "Eco" books from Wild Tribe Heroes to the Green Team. Thank you!!
