We were so glad to welcome Caroline Ansell, our very own MP to Langney today. After a quick tour of the school, Caroline met with some of our students leaders. These included School Council members, Wellbeing Warriors and newly appointed Art Ambassadors. The children loved hearing about Caroline's story to becoming Eastbourne's first female MP and we hoped that the next female MP would come from Langney! We spoke around the skills needed as a leader and how developing confide

There were lots of exciting screams in Flashmob club yesterday when a delivery arrived for us. Our t-shirts and hoodies had finally arrived, and we are super excited to show them off! We look forward to wearing them lots - especially at our annual Flashmob performance in the summer!
Callum and Ollie proudly represented Langney yesterday at the annual Dry Curling Championships. Our team worked together brilliantly showing control and clear strategy. We were the Primary School Champions! Amazingly, we finished second overall out of eleven schools and only lost out to a Secondary School. GO TEAM LANGNEY and well done Ollie and Callum - a great performance, fully demonstrating our "Active Body, Healthy Mind" motto.
Last year Miss Allum's Year 3 Wicked class chose to do a musical dance to defy Gravity. They performed to parents for a Fab Finish and they loved it so much many wanted to continue to improve and extend the dance and show it to a wider audience. They have all been rehearsing 3 lunchtimes a week in order to make the dance even more special and amazing! The 14 children had the chance to perform in Eastbourne's 'Dance Fever' held this year at The Causeway School. They were absol
On Friday, Langney Girls Football Team played a fantastic home game against Stone Cross Girls. It was a tough match, with both sides playing incredibly well. However, Langney dominated the play and with a goal in the first half scored by Destiny, Langney Girls took the victory. The girls were an absolute credit to the school and to the sport, with excellent behaviour and sportsmanship throughout. Rhianna had a fantastic game with her debut in goal, saving every single shot. Our Reception Classes had a wonderful time celebrating their superhero topic by coming to school dressed as their favourite superhero. In the afternoon, the children's families joined us for a superhero catwalk where the children flew down the catwalk, 'superhero style'. The children made superhero headbands for their family members and if family members were feeling brave they strutted their stuff down the catwalk with their child. We were very impressed with how many adults
Our Mathematicians have graduated successfully form their short course at TEA and Causeway School. They were carefully chosen due to their natural flair and ability with number. Today, they showcased their learning and then beat their families 5-1 in Mr Delamere's quiz. Some secret methods were shared afterwards! We are thankful to our SWALE Secondary Schools for providing this pathway and connection.
On Monday, Year 2 had a very special visitor... Mr Pineapple Head, the silent clown! He wowed us with some awesome magic tricks and made us laugh lots with his silliness. He even trapped one of our pupils inside a stretchy ball, and made another pupil spin 4 plates at once! It was a great way to end our magical topic this term.
We went to swim at the amazing Eastbourne College Swimming Pool at the annual gala. All children swam very well and followed our School Values of Aspiration and Mutual Respect. Well done to Evie who made the podium for the girls freestyle! GO LANGNEY!!
