Over the last week, the classes and departments of LPA have taken part in a Christmas Tree design competition! We knew that pupils could not see our gigantic tree in the hall, so we set a new challenge and now we have 27 wonderful trees all over our school!! Special mention to the "Site Team" tree that has branches of PPE and the "Jack Frost" tree that looks like an idyllic snow storm. Also Mr Field's "PE Balls" tree was a sight to behold!! The winning tree is pictured above
Year 6 enjoyed being back at school today - especially as they had their Fabulous Finish this afternoon! Whilst working from home, the children had all designed mechanical toys - which linked their English learning of Cogheart with their DT learning of Mechanical Systems. As you can see from our silent photo, Mrs Compton was broadcasting to the classes from our stage in the hall!!
How exciting for the Nest children to share a free live assembly with Chris and Mark at Knockhatch Hailsham this morning with their owls. Beginning with a quick tour of 'behind the scenes' where the owls are housed, the children enjoyed peeking into the enclosures and being introduced to the owls. All children followed Chief Reindeer Field on a full outside obstacle Reindeer Run. We followed COVID guidelines as so all year groups could take part at different parts of the day. Lots of money has been raised to support The Chestnut Tree House charity that supports children who may not live as long as us. Appreciation was the High Five School value that was shown today.....with lots of laps covered!
