At Langney Primary School, we set ourselves a mission to achieve Digital Excellence by developing the use of digital skills across the school’s entire community; from pupils to parents to staff to Governors.  By utilising the skills of a dedicated Computing Lead Teacher and developing a bespoke scheme of work, we have targeted the three focuses of the modern computing curriculum; Digital Literacy, Computer Science and Information Technology.

To create a truly digital environment, we invested in specific technology that would support our digital drive to excellence and also our computing curriculum.  We were early adopters of Google Apps for Education, Google Play for Education and have successfully integrated over 180 schoolwide Android tablets, to include one-to-one devices for our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.

Since the initiation of the 2014 National Curriculum, we have gained two prestigious accreditations; the ICT Mark and the E-Safety Mark, which nationally recognises our dedication and commitment to providing only the best possible teaching and learning opportunities in both areas.  We now use our credentials and knowledge to offer support and consultancy to other schools, both Primary and Secondary.
