Remembrance Tea
To mark Remembrance, a special tea was held at the school on the afternoon of Thursday 10th November.
For the past three years pupils at Langney have been learning about local war hero, Nelson Victor Carter, who gained a Victoria Cross. The special Remembrance Tea included a narration about Nelson VC, 'In Flanders Fields' dance by the school's Musical Theatre Group, a tap dance performance by the school's Tappy Toes Club and songs from our school choir.
Special guests were invited including descendants of Nelson Victor Carter, British Legion, Heritage Lottery, local history society members and teachers from Chatsmore Catholic High School.
A huge thank you to the Friends for providing the tea and cakes!
A GIGANTIC thank you to Miss Pollard, our Internal Intervention Manager, who coordinated this very special event.
