Two boys represented the Eastbourne schools in the Cross Country Finals held at Lewes Rugby Club. 'I loved taking part in the Cross Country because in that time I really really amazed myself. Once again it was time for the annual gifted and talented taster day at Bedes. Our four eager Year 6 participants were champing at the bit as they waited in the office for their ride to arrive. Eventually we embarked, hoping for a day in which they would experience school in a very different way. The minibus was full of happy and expectant children, their chatter only diminishing as we entered the school grounds.

KS1 children worked really hard learning lines and songs in order to put on our wonderful performances of 'Lights, Camel, Action!' Definitely the most ambitious Christmas production we have taken on here at Langney. On Thursday 8th December 2016, our 91 Reception children performed their Nativity ‘A Miracle In Town’ to a hall packed full of mums, dads, brothers, sisters, grannies and grandads. The children re-told the story of Mary and Joseph travelling to Bethlehem and the birth of the Baby Jesus. Our second course for parents run by Sussex Downs College was Hand Reflexology. Everyone learnt different techniques to ease anxiety by using the hand. The course was very popular and beneficial to all who attended. Watch this space for more parent courses at the school!
We are so proud of the nursery children and their stunning nativity performance to parents on the 6th December. They have loved singing the songs, learning about the Christmas story and sharing their performance with others. On Monday 15 December, the pupils in Years 3,4,5 and 6 took part in a Christmas Performance to parents. Some of the pupils presented readings while others played the piano or guitar. We were also treated to special performances from after school clubs, Tappy Toes and Musical Theatre dance, as well as two songs from the Choir. Merry Christmas from Key Stage Two!!!
