On Thursday 3rd November, Year 6 visited St Catherine's College where they were treated to a day of aspirational activities hosted by real life student ambassadors from the University of Sussex. This was the second of 3 days (the first of which took place in Year 5) which was all about the transition to secondary school and learning about further education. The children played a career building board game with children from Tollgate Junior School, made their own timetable for university (some work, lots of cake, no washing!) and had to collect the right equipment for each lesson from a pile...but they were only allowed to pigeon walk!

Lots of fun was had and the children also learned a lot of useful things about Year 7.

The children behaved really well and the Deputy Head from Tollgate complimented us on our children's behaviour. Miss Crane and Mr. Beale were very proud!
