Year 5 and 6 Brass Recital for Parents
On Tuesday 27th June Years 5 and 6 showed off their amazing musical talents in a Brass Showcase led by Mr Marcus Plant from the East Sussex Music Service.
Years 5 and 6 have been working incredibly hard all year on learning how to play the trumpet and devloping skills learned on the P Bone. They have been working on skills such playing a range of notes and reading simple sheet music. They put these togther and performed five short pieces.
They played a range of songs that included one with a funky name- Hippo Blues! They even went one step further and incorporated actions into one their songs. No mean feat with over 120 children!
In addition to the wonderful trumpet and P Bone, one year 5 child and one year 6 child showed off their clarinet skills. What a musical lot year 5 and 6 are!
The children performed so well and should be extremely proud of themselves.
Well done Years 5 and 6!
