Cross Country Success

On a wet and windy afternoon a team of boys and girls from Years 4,5 and 6 participated in the Eastbourne Schools Cross Country Event .

It was held in Hampden Park and hosted by Ocklynge School in conjunction with Gildredge House who marshalled the course. The children had to complete two laps ( approx 1.5 miles ) with a separate race for the Girls and the Boys with the first 15 being selected to represent Eastbourne Schools early next year.

All the team completed the course with notable performances from our two Year 4's Willow and Jensen , our first girl back in 19th place was Lily and the boys had a remarkable three in the top fifteen.....Oliver 14th, Jason 11th and Tayo, (who came 2nd last year) with an outstanding and dominant display of front running who came 1st!!

Mr Field is immensely proud and it was fantastic to witness the team togetherness and camaraderie! Go Team Langney!!
