Swimming Gala Success!

The area school swim gala took place at The University of Brighton, Denton Road in Meads on Tuesday and was hosted by Ratton School.

Eight students took part in various 25m races, first in heats then in finals if their time was quick enough. All students swam exceptionally well and so please congratulate them all.

All races were extremely close and so to get through to the finals was an amazing achievement. We all shouted and cheered our swimmers on and we are thrilled when Zac and Sophie got through to the finals, Zac for boys breastroke and Sophie for girls backstroke.

Again, very close and Zac did brilliantly finishing a respectable third but Sophie stole the limelight, managing to smash her race to touch the end of the length first! YAY well done Sophie and many thanks for Mum coming along to help too!
