A Virtual Remembrance!

Today, we had our very first virtual Remembrance Service!

A selection of Year 6 pupils presented readings from their work on London during the Blitz and poems were contributed by our Nurture Groups. There was no religious element this year but Fr. Danny of St. Richard's did very kindly send along a recorded Blessing. Classes across the school watched from their classrooms and observed a two minute silence at 11am.

In addition to this, the pupils have been watching recordings about the lives of our two soldiers, Nelson Victor Carter VC and Joseph Frederick Aukett. All classes have also been completing art work in their bid to be this year's winners of the Joseph Frederick Aukett Art Award. The two winning classes will be announced on Monday.

Thank you so much to all those who donated to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal this morning.
