LPA Air Quality Project!
Thursday 3rd February was a very exciting day for many of our wonderful student leaders. The Geography Gems, Science Superstars and Outdoor Ambassadors all met the Air Quality Officer for East Sussex, Paul Turner, who works in partnership with SusTrans. The children were given the opportunity to learn about the huge impact our methods of travel have on the air we breathe, before heading outside for a fascinating tour of the school's grounds to explore different types of lichen and how they can be brilliant natural indicators for the quality of the air we breathe at Langney Primary Academy. We finished this exciting first meeting with Paul by leaving some tubes around the school to test the air over a period of weeks before we return and analyse our findings. All of the children really enjoyed meeting Paul and are very much looking forward to working with him in the future.
