PE Scholars go to University!

Our PE Scholars attended University of Brighton Sport and Exercise Science laboratories in June.

They all experienced what it feels like to exercise in extreme temperatures (35 degrees) by stepping into the heat chamber at the Environmental Lab at the Welkin Centre.

Scholars participated in numerous fitness assessment tests including track cycling - how much power they could produce in a 10 second burst and measuring reaction times on the receiving end of Serena Williams serve!

What a fantastic and inspiring morning we all had.

A huge thanks to Dr Nicholas Smeeton once again and his colleagues for an amazing and memorable morning and to all the PE Scholars who were all fully engaged and wished they could of stayed longer! We will return!
