VOLT Art Visit!

Today Mrs Thwaites, Miss Pollard and the Art Scholars had the opportunity to visit Gina from DC Learn at Eastbourne's local gallery VOLT.

We viewed two private exhibitions and learned about a local artist called Mark Corfield-Moore who creates incredible weaving inspired art. We also viewed the work of Japanese painter Tomoya Matsuzaki who used the Cuckmere River and our local rainy weather to inspire his pieces. The group then met a local artist, Kay Hilton, who is incredibly talented at weaving. Kay and Gina then led a masterclass workshop in weaving which the children were allowed to keep! Brilliant artistic skills shared and incredible work created.
