EYFS Maths Outdoors Workshop

A huge thank you to the thirty-five parents who came to the Nursery and Reception Maths Outdoors workshop last Thursday afternoon. This looked at children's astonishing development between the ages three to five. Simple ideas for extending children's learning through easily available, free resources and everyday play outdoors were discussed, and the workshop concluded with parents joining their children for some fun-packed play experiences. These included things like collecting as many objects as possible to go in a small matchbox, playing number skittles and exploration with water as a way of extending children's Mathematical vocabulary.

I look forward to seeing reception parents again on Tuesday 7th June at 2 to focus on how parents can help their children to exceed the Early Learning Goals. Exciting times!
