Visit to Chatsmore Catholic High School
Miss Pollard and Mr Pickford took a group of Year 5 and 6 children to Worthing this week to visit the new Boar's Head Memorial at Beach House Park and to take part in a workshop kindly offered by Chatsmore Catholic High School to create artwork inspired by the Memorial. It was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to share their knowledge of Nelson Victor Carter VC with staff from a secondary school who had included him in their project. The staff were very impressed by our pupil's attitude, their artistic flair, their ability to follow instructions and their skills in cooperation. Subsequently, a fabulous day was had by all!
Quote of the day came from Belle, who began the session by saying she couldn't draw and went on to create the most amazing piece of work! "I'm not going to say 'I can't again' until I've tried."
