Disability Awareness Day

On Wednesday morning, KS2 took part in a disability awareness workshop. Activities included using a wheelchair, learning sign language (makaton), guessing objects while blind and creating sentences for people with learning disabilities. At the start of the day, the school participated in a special assembly with guest John McCorkell. He shared inspirational quotes from paralympians. He also told us what it's like to be disabled and how people wanted to be treated the same.
