Eastbourne Tennis 'A Wash Out'

Unfortunately the weather was not on our side when we took our after-school tennis club to Devonshire Park to watch the Aegon tennis championships.

We were able to watch some players on the practise courts, got Ross Hutchin's autograph and enjoyed a rather soggy lunch. We were briefly allowed onto Centre Court and the very kind steward explained how the court coverings worked. Unfortunately, most of the players stayed inside in the dry, and we decided to leave early as it looked unlikely that there would be any play.

We finished the day off with some free strawberries and cream!

Let's hope the weather is better next time.
