World War One Workshop
Our Year 3 and 4 pupils were explorers this week as they were introduced to some fascinating objects from the First World War. The objects all linked to innovations of the war era, such as a packet of vegetarian sausages, diaries and photographs of early aviators, a plaque from the tank that was presented to Eastbourne as a thank you for funds raised, and improvements that were made to uniforms. The children were very inquisitive and asked some fantastic questions. They were also keen to link the items to the stories of our two soldiers, Nelson and Joe.
