Democracy in Action

As part of UK Parliament Week, elected members of our School Council organised a vote to decide which new wet play games to buy for each year group from Year 1 upwards. After an assembly which explained the history and purpose of our democracy, each child was able to exercise their right to vote and choose their favourite from a selection of games. It may be of interest for anyone who is considering buying a game for a primary age child, that the time-honoured classic Uno, was by far the most popular choice with the various year-groups! As you can see, the school and also the Friends of Langney have both been very generous providing these resources. In addition, we would like to thank parents who kindly made individual donations for the classes. The children will enjoy the games throughout this year and in the years to come.
