Flitter Jars in Yr1

Year 1 loved getting involved in Science week and enjoyed a very exciting Science filled afternoon. One of the activities that we enjoyed was making 'flitter jars'. We were fascinated by watching what happens to the 'flitter' inside the jars depending on how we moved/shook the jar. We used a variety of reusable resources to make the jars and compared how they act differently to each other in the water. We discussed the language of sinking, floating, quickly, slowly. A great time had by all!
