Langney's 'Authorfy Army'

English Scholars in Years 5 and 6 have been exploring the book 'Crater Lake'. After designing their dream school trip, pupils have taken advice from the author, Jennifer Killick, to turn their dreams into a nightmare by adding a spooky twist to their story.

For inspiration we began hunting the school with our 'suspicious eyes'. The children soon began noticing small things such as splatters across the ceiling, cracks and scratches along the brickwork in addition to two very suspicious ladies in the school office! Imaginations were running wild which was perfect for today's writing task. The children have loved incorporating a spooky twist and getting top tips from a fantastic author. Great work by all, we cannot wait for next week!
