LPA Art Day 2022!

Langney enjoyed a whole school Art day on Thursday. Each class had an artist to study such as Yayoi Kusama, Faith Ringgold, Joan Miro and Andy Warhol. The children then used their artists to create their own inspired piece of work through drawing, painting or sculpture.

Children then studied religious art, looking at how some of the worlds most beautiful pieces of art linking to various religions. Year 2 looked at stained glass windows in Christianity, Year 5 drew lotus flowers inspired by Hindu and Buddhist beliefs and Year 3 made Rangolis influenced in Sikhism and Hinduism culture. Years 2-6 had an engaging artist workshop with our own amazing Miss Pollard and local artist Terry Hobbs. A creative day had by all!
