Science Scholars!
Our Year 6 Science Scholars enjoyed a day at Shinewater's dedicated Science Classroom, along with pupils from Parklands and Shinewater schools. Four tasks were presented to the children: to design and fly a kite, to make their own glue from milk and vinegar - testing its strength against a proprietary alternative, discovering the sound-proofing capabilities of various materials, and lastly, making a moving vehicle from a cotton bobbin, cocktail sticks and an elastic band.
Needless to say, our scholars enjoyed their experience and excelled at each task. Einstein stated that 'science is organised knowledge'. Our students demonstrated this well with their partners in order to overcome every challenge. As the day drew to a close, they left happy, their appetites whetted in expectation for the next Science Scholars day. Well done Science Scholars!
