Tortoise Learning in EYFS

Today in Reception, we had another visit from more beautiful animals. Ellis' Dad brought in their two stunning tortoises, Clarence and Humphrey. The children were amazed by how beautiful they were. They all had the opportunity to hold and touch them and described how they felt. We have been learning about animal groups and have been using non fiction books to find out all about reptiles and tortoises. We used our question words to ask questions about the tortoises and Ellis' Dad was able to answer all of these for us.

Everyone was very excited and loved meeting these tortoises.
