Year 2 Battle at the Abbey!

This week, Year 2 went to Battle Abbey. It was a gloomy weather day but the spirits were high. We grabbed our armour, shields and hopped onto the bus. We had such a great time learning about the history of The Battle of Hastings in class that we couldn't wait to step onto the battlefield where the Battle of Hastings had actually taken place. It was an epic battle and unfortunately for the Saxons (Rainbow Road class) history did repeat itself and the Normans (Ocean Road class) were victorious. Good fun was had by all. The children were impeccably behaved and did LPA proud.
