Year 5 in VR Space
Year 5 pupils have been treated to a VR experience, during a science unit studying space. Now experts in many solar system specifics such as the movement of the earth and other planets, the children were given the chance to consolidate their knowledge with the help of the school’s Virtual reality suite.
After watching a night sky time-lapse, the children rocketed themselves through our solar system, skimming past our neighbouring planets before checking out the Mars curiosity robot up close. After landing back on earth, their space tour concluded with a narrated solar eclipse. One pupil remarked, “That was amazing! I was flying past the Earth. Now I know what it’s like to be Iron Man!”
