Yr3 Geography Fieldwork

Year 3 visited Sevenoaks park as part of their topic of forests and river deep, mountain high celebrating everything outdoors. The children used their geographical skills to do fieldwork using grid references to locate items and then plan their own maps. They also undertook a scavenger hunt on plants and nature animals where they had to find a range of natural objects such as five flowers and the longest feather they could find. The children also used their drawing skills to sketch some observational drawing and landscapes of the lake, park and animals. We had a sumptious picnic lunch together and played some lovely games in the playpark. A great day had by all!
