Reception Celebrate Chinese New Year

Our Reception children had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year on Friday. It all began with an aeroplane trip to China, but before we could enjoy our flight we had to get our passports checked in Passport Control. It was all very exciting! When we arrived in China we were able to explore lots of different activities; some of us made our own Chinese fans whilst others made their own dragon puppets.

We then went to our own Chinese restaurant and enjoyed sampling some noodles and prawn crackers - yummy! To the end the day the children participated in their own Chinese dragon dance and enjoyed showing their dance to their friends around the school. We even took our dance through the school office and gave our school receptionist, Mandy, her own personal dragon dance - she was very impressed!

We had an amazing day and can't wait to do it again next year.
